Backup Recommendations

To ensure that ManagementStudio can be fully restored in the event of a system failure, configure regular backups as follows:

Daily Backup Requirements

• SQL Database:
  Perform daily backups of the ManagementStudio SQL database.

• IIS Web Folder:
  Create daily backups of the ManagementStudio IIS web folder on the IIS server.

• File Storage Folder:
  Back up the ManagementStudio file storage folder daily.
  The file storage folder path can be found in the appsettings.json file located in the IIS web folder.

• SSL Certificates:
  Back up any SSL certificates in use, in case the IIS server requires rebuilding.

Additional Guidance

• Review backup schedules regularly to ensure alignment with organisational recovery objectives.
• Store backups in a secure, off-site, or cloud location when possible.
• Perform periodic test restores to confirm backup integrity and completeness.
