Installing the ACE:AI Connector

Overview

This article outlines the steps required to install and configure the Application Confidence Engine (ACE) connector in ManagementStudio.

Prerequisites

  • The ACE:AI Connector must be enabled in your licence.
  • The ManagementStudio client must have internet access. (Server internet access is not required.)
  • You must use an account that is a member of the Project Admins role group.

Installation

  1. Log in to ManagementStudio with a Project Admins role group account.

  2. Navigate to:
    AdministrationExtensionsConnectors

  3. Click Add New Connector, then select ACE:AI.



  4. Click OK to accept the default connector name, or amend as needed.

  5. The ACE connector will be created.



Initial Setup

During installation, default settings are applied. These defaults are suitable for most implementations. To begin using ACE:AI recommendations, complete the following steps:

  1. Navigate to:
    AdministrationExtensionsConnectors
  2. Select the ACE connector.
  3. Click Sync With MS ACE Server Now, then select Continue.
  4. Click Run ACE Examination Now, then select Continue.
  5. Enable the Periodically Sync ManagementStudio ACE Server option to automate the sync. 
  6. Click Save Changes.
