Overview

Portal dashboards provide a centralised interface for viewing key data and applications within ManagementStudio. Dashboards aggregate information from multiple sources, presenting it in a coherent and visual format using charts, graphs, and widgets to improve organisational insight and accessibility.

System Dashboards vs User Dashboards

Dashboards in ManagementStudio can be personal (User Dashboards) or shared across the organisation (System Dashboards).

User Dashboards

Created and managed by individual users
Only visible to the user who created them
Suitable for personal tracking, task lists, or private reporting

System Dashboards

Created and managed by administrators
Visible to all users in the organisation once published
Intended for shared reporting, team monitoring, or management-level summaries

Accessing the Portal Dashboard

To access a Portal Dashboard:

Navigate to Administration → Portal Settings.
Expand either System dashboard or User dashboard to display available dashboards.
Select the required dashboard to view or edit.

Portal Dashboard Layout

The dashboard interface includes the following UI elements:

UI Element	Description
`Save Changes`	Commit the current changes to the database.
`Cancel Changes`	Discard unsaved changes and reload the last saved values.
`Change Owner`	Assign ownership of the dashboard to another user.
`Dashboard`	Name of the dashboard.
`Make Dashboard visible to all`	When enabled, makes this dashboard accessible to all users.
`ID`	System-generated internal dashboard identifier.
`Internal Name`	Internal (system) name for the dashboard.
`Sub Header`	Optional sub-header for additional context.
`Description`	Short description of the dashboard.
`View on Portal`	View the dashboard as it appears in the portal.
`Portal Wrapper`	Wrapper format used for displaying the dashboard.
`Web Url by Id`	Direct URL to the dashboard using its ID; copy and paste into a browser to view.
`Web Url by Name`	Direct URL to the dashboard using its name; copy and paste into a browser to view.
`Keyword by Id`	Email keyword (by ID) for referencing the dashboard.
`Keyword by Name`	Email keyword (by name) for referencing the dashboard.
`Owned By`	Owner (user) of the dashboard.
`Last Modified By`	Most recent user to modify the dashboard.
`Last Modified On`	Date and time the dashboard was last updated.
