SCCM Connector Guide
Overview
The Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) connector enables ManagementStudio to synchronise data from an SCCM database. The connector provides multiple configuration panels, each responsible for a specific aspect of the import and mapping process:
- SCCM Discovery Status
- Mapping Rules
- Import Applications
- Import Users
- Import Devices
- Database Settings
- Troubleshooting
Administrators can enable or disable the SCCM connector and adjust the configuration within these panels as required.
SCCM Discovery Status
This panel manages the execution and scheduling of SCCM data synchronisation.
| UI Element | Description |
|---|---|
Run SCCM Discovery Now | Launches an immediate synchronisation with the SCCM database. |
Schedule SCCM Discovery #1 | Specifies a schedule for recurring synchronisation. |
Schedule SCCM Discovery #2 | Allows a second scheduled synchronisation. |
Last Discovery Date | Displays the date and time of the last successful synchronisation. |
Sync SCCM From Date | Sets the import start date for new User-App links. Blank defaults to the past three months. |
Email Logs To | Comma-separated list of email addresses to receive synchronisation logs. Use ; to separate multiple addresses (e.g. t@blogg.com;Accounts@blogg.com). |
Overall Progress | Shows the overall progress of the current SCCM import. |
Current Task Progress | Displays progress for the current synchronisation task. |
Import Log | Displays detailed synchronisation logs. |

Mapping Rules
This panel manages the relationship mappings between Users, Applications, and Devices imported from SCCM.
| UI Element | Description |
|---|---|
Mapping Links | Determines which link types are imported: 1. Users-Apps-Devices 2. User-Apps 3. Users-Devices 4. Apps-Devices |
Mapping Rules | Additional rules to control mapping: 1. Restrict imported Apps and Devices to those linked to existing Users 2. Create mapping even if Deployment Unit is locked 3. Create mapping even if User, App, or Device is locked 4. Create mapping even if User, App, or Device is archived |

Import Applications
This panel controls which applications are imported and how they are mapped.
| UI Element | Description |
|---|---|
Alt SCCM Name Exes | Specifies executables to rename during import. For example, if WINWORD.EXEis listed here, the application entry will be named "Microsoft Word" instead of "Microsoft Office".
|
Exe White List | List of executable names to always include in the import, even if filtered by default. Make sure the application has not already been detected by SCCM to prevent duplicates. |
Exe Exclusion List | List of executable names to exclude from import. Supports wildcard % (e.g. %install%.exe, %setup%.exe). |
Folder Exclusion List | Folders to exclude from application import (e.g. C:\Users\%, C:\Documents And Settings\%). |
Add to Blueprint | Path (e.g. Discovery\SCCM\App) to which newly discovered applications will be added in ManagementStudio. |

Import Users
This panel manages the import of user accounts from SCCM.
| UI Element | Description |
|---|---|
Domain Filter | Comma-delimited list of domains to import users from (e.g. Global,HOP,UK,FR). |
User Name is NOT | List of user patterns to exclude from import. Supports wildcard % (e.g. srv_%, Print%). |
Add to Blueprint | Path (e.g. Discovery\SCCM\Users) to which newly discovered users are added. |

Import Devices
Controls which devices are imported and how they are mapped.
| UI Element | Description |
|---|---|
Device Field Mappings | Map SCCM fields to ManagementStudio device records. |
Hostname is NOT | Prevents devices with specified hostnames from being imported. Comma-delimited list with % for wildcards (e.g. GFR0001,PRT12537%,%KIOSK%). |
MAC Software Filter | MAC software to exclude from import. |
MAC Service Filter | MAC services to exclude from import. |
OS Version IS | Operating system versions to include. Comma-delimited, % wildcard allowed (e.g. %6.1%, %6.1.7%). |
OS Version IS NOT | Operating system versions to exclude. Comma-delimited, % wildcard allowed (e.g. %8.1%, %6.1.7%). |
OS Name IS | OS names to include. Comma-delimited, % wildcard allowed (e.g. %Windows 7%, %Windows 8%). |
OS Name IS NOT | OS names to exclude. Comma-delimited, % wildcard allowed (e.g. %Windows 7%, %Windows 8%). |
Domain Filter | Restricts import to specified domains. Leave blank for no filtering. |
Domain Override | Set a domain override value and exceptions, comma-delimited. |
Add to Blueprint | Path (e.g. Discovery\SCCM\Devices) where new devices will be added. |

Database Settings
Configure SCCM database connection details in this panel.
| UI Element | Description |
