Overview

The Time in Process tier enables you to calculate the total duration an item spends within individual or overall process workflows in ManagementStudio. Use this feature to track how long each project item remains at specific workflow stages. For example, you can measure the number of days an application remained in the UAT workflow. The Time in Process tier is available as part of Datamining Reports across all modules in ManagementStudio.



Accessing the Time in Process Tier

To access and add the Time in Process tier within a datamining report:

  1. Switch to the desired module (e.g., Applications).
  2. Select Datamining Report from the top ribbon.
  3. Click Add Time in Process.





Time in Process Layout

The Time in Process tier presents several configuration options:


UI ElementDescription
Display Mode- Group on Status: Displays time based on internal workflow status.
- Group on Processes: Displays time based on workflow processes.
- Full List: Shows time by both current internal status and workflow process.
Time in Process UnitConfigure the time calculation using either working days, 24-hour days, total hours, or minutes. You can also specify working start time, end time, and restrict reporting to a particular date range.
Process Status to ExcludeExclude specific internal workflow process statuses from the calculation.
Days of the Week to ExcludeExclude specified days of the week from calculations.
Dates to ExcludeExclude individual dates or date ranges from the calculation.
