Importing Device Processor Core Count From SCCM

This guide outlines how to import a device's processor core count from SCCM into ManagementStudio. Any fields stored in the SCCM database or Active Directory can be brought into ManagementStudio following similar steps.


Creating a Custom Field for Processor Core Count

  1. Navigate to Administration → Extensions → Connectors → Devices Connector UI.
  2. Select the SCCM tab from the menu on the left.
  3. Click New Field.
  4. Set the field label to Number of Cores and set the field type to Number of Integer.
  5. Adjust the display order to position the field alongside existing processor fields.
  6. Click Save Changes.
  7. Right-click the new field, scroll down, and select Copy Path from the context menu.


Configuring the SCCM Connector to Import the Field

  1. Navigate to Administration → Extensions → Connectors.
  2. Select the SCCM connector.
  3. Open the Import Devices panel.
  4. Click Add New Setting to add a new row to the mapping table.
  5. Complete the new mapping with the following values:
    • Target:Custom Field
    • MS Field:[Paste the path copied from the previous step]
    • SCCM Field:NumberOfCores0@v_GS_Processor@dbo
  6. Click Save Changes.
  7. Run the SCCM Connector.


When the connector run completes, the processor core count will be imported and available in the specified custom field in ManagementStudio.
